Downward facing dog (adho mukha svanasana) is a pose offered in almost every yoga class. This dynamic weight-bearing posture relies not only on strength and mobility in the shoulder joint but attention to healthy movement in the spine, wrists, elbows, hips, knees, and feet. In this workshop, participants will practice building a resilient downward facing dog by working on the foundational pieces that become the pose. Yoga Tune Up® Instructors Diana Duncan and Kayleigh Miller will guide you through self massage techniques and playful, fun, and challenging movement sequences to intentionally engage your body and mind. This workshop offers you an opportunity to uncover a deep and mindful way to respect and work with your body structure and is for all levels of experience. No prior yoga practice is required.
